The Forever Garden

Carol, thanks to the generosity of the Woman's Board of Norwalk Hospital, the Forever Garden offers many benefits to our patients, visitors and staff, providing a pleasant environment for reflection and quiet.

It gives our patients calming views while they receive treatment and allows visitors a space to relax in a soothing, comfortable area. Our staff are also very grateful to you for this space, where they can decompress from the day, deal privately with the challenges they may face, and collect themselves and recharge.

Because of your generosity, Norwalk Hospital is able to offer all this, and more.

In addition to reducing stress and promoting wellbeing, gardens can lead to better patient outcomes and improved staff satisfaction. The Joint Commission for Accreditation of Hospitals (JCAHO) recommends that "patients and visitors should have opportunities to connect with nature through outside spaces, plants, indoor atriums and views from windows."

Carol, thank you for making this possible.

Honey Hill Strolling Garden

Honey Hill Strolling Garden

Honey Hill Care Center was dedicated on June 2, 1993.  The Woman's Board also donated $25,000 for the creation of the Strolling Gardens at Honey Hill.   It was a beautiful garden with paths and walkways filled with flowers, chairs and tables.  It was a place for the residents to spend a relaxed time with family and friends or just a place for them to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air and warm sunshine.

On September 26, 2002 the dedication of the Strolling Garden took place.

... and there are so many other donations we have made through out our History and are currently making...
